Skull 3D printed from a scan of Allosaurus fragilis — "different lizard" — the apex predator of Late Jurassic North America, named by Othniel Charles Marsh in 1877 during the Bone Wars and now the state fossil of Utah!

Allosaurus ruled the Morrison Formation 150 million years ago, 85 million years before T. rex ever existed. Its skull is a masterpiece of predatory engineering: lightweight, riddled with openings, tipped with a pair of blunt horns above the eyes, and built to swing down like a hatchet into prey many times its size.
